Gauging Success: Measurement and Evaluation

  • Child Development and Medicaid: Attitudes of Mothers with Young Children Enrolled in Medicaid
Susan Kannel, Michael Perry. (New York, NY: The Commonwealth Fund, March 2001). This report is based on findings from eight focus groups of mothers with young children enrolled in Medicaid in the four ABCD I states (NC, UT, VT, WA). For policymakers, there are recommendations about how to notify mothers about services and provide them with information. Focus group findings also suggest specific areas where state Medicaid programs can play an active role in supporting early child development. (From Preface)
