The Delaware ABCD Screening Academy Project will build upon the success of the state’s First Signs Project, an outreach initiative to medical practitioners encouraging the use of parent reporting tools during well child visits to increase effective diagnosis and early intervention. Delaware will work on collecting data regarding the pediatric practices currently utilizing developmental screening as a standard of care, the screening tools they use, and screenings submitted for reimbursement. Delaware also plans to examine barriers to private insurer reimbursement for screening.
