Focus

Incorporating developmental surveillance and screening into preventive health care visits, and promoting medical homes. Developmental Surveillance and Screening Policy Implementation Project (D-PIP) selected 17 pilot primary care pediatric practices to implement the AAP policy "Identifying Infants and Young Children With Developmental Disorders in the Medical Home: An Algorithm for Developmental Surveillance and Screening"

Presentations cover screening and surveillance, coding and billing, putting office systems into place, process improvement checklist, and facilitator handbook with practical ideas. Sample referral form to Early Intervention with request for feedback. For both primary care providers and residency program faculty, NP faculty and others. Excellent detail.
